Website Rebuild | Programs: Squarespace and Adobe Illustrator for Mockups
Homepage
Tamara's previous homepage had a video of her animals, farm and yarn. To keep that as an element on her homepage, I added a slideshow of pictures that display everything from her animals in the farm to all of the plants and yarn that she creates. The focus was for the user to know right from the homepage how vibrant and welcoming Wing and a Prayer Farm is. The menu bar was also restructured to be a top menu bar for the user to have easy access to all of the pages.
Fiber Farming
This page was originally the About Us page. As the homepage now has a description of the farm, Fiber Farming was then highlighted on its own page. All of the content on this page was already here, but was restructured to break up the text more and placed it in the order that was the easiest for the reader to understand. A photo header was also added to showcase some of the animals at the farm.
Meet Jubilee
This was another page that was on the original website. However, this page went directly to Zoom where Tamara would have customers schedule Zoom meetings with her lamb, Jubilee. Speaking to Tamara about Jubilee, I knew that she was a special lamb to her. In order for the customer to understand just how special this lamb was, Tamara and I agreed that Jubilee should have her own page on the website. This decision was also made so the customer could continue to be on Tamara's website rather than being redirected off of Wing and a Prayer Farm's website. A header was also added of pictures of Jubilee, to be consistent with the Fiber Farming photo header.
Events
This page had minor changes done to it. A photo header was added to be consistent with the other pages. As well as the event picture being made bigger and restructuring the information so the customer would know what the event is and where it's located.
Shop
This page was a new page added to Tamara's website. Originally the Shop tab redirect the customer to her Etsy store which is a store she established before her website and one that is incredibly important to her. In order to keep the customer engaged on Wing and a Prayer Farm's website and display just how important Tamara's shop is to her a page was designed. Again, to be cohesive with the other pages I included a photo header, but this one was a collage as Tamara has many beautiful photos of her products. We also spoke on having "Items of the Month," that way customers are engaged on a monthly basis with the website. Then below the "Items of the Month" description are the three highlighted items with their name, description and a link to the product on Etsy.
